Ritesh Aggarwal dropped out of college and launched his first start-up orave stays PVT.LTD (2012). At the age of 17, he started traveling to many places in India. Ritesh Aggarwal was not satisfied with the current accommodation business in India. He decided to start a hotel business in India. He is a very humble and kind person. At such a young age, managing such a huge business. Designed as a platform to enable budget listing and room booking in hotels in India. Being an avid traveler himself, keeping that in mind he pioneered OYO Rooms in 2013 to offer affordable and quality accommodation to the Oval for the convenience of all travellers, as their sector also lacked Athi. According to a study conducted by CB Insights for The New York Times, OYO Rooms is among the companies that could be the next startup unicorn. The company is backed by investors such as Soft Bank Group, Greenox Capital, Sequoia Capital and Light Speed India. Ritesh Aggarwal was selected for the “20 under 20” Thiel Fellowship in 2013. Awarded as the world’s young entrepreneur in 2015.

He started when he was only 18 years old. Started with his first company Oravel Stays which later became OYO Rooms. Ritesh Agarwal was the first Indian to receive Theat Fellowship which helped him a lot in modeling his ventures and taking him to great heights. Through this program he received $100,000 which is a staggering tax amount. Most of the financing of OYO Rooms was done through it. They also went in search of additional funds to expand their business.

He hails from a family in India that ran a small shop in Raigada, South Odisha. There he graduated from Sacred Heart School. He started selling SIM cards at the age of 13. He graduated from St. John’s Senior Secondary School, Bundi Road, Kota, Rajasthan and moved to Delhi in 2011 for college. He dropped out of college.
